Inspection of Engineered Wood Products
Course Description:
This course is designed for participants to understand what the codes say in relation to Engineered Wood Products. Participants will learn how to identify Engineered Wood Products and installation methods so they, in turn, can properly inspect floor and roof systems built with Engineered Wood Products. Common field issues and resolutions will also be discussed.
About the Instructor:
Doug McFarland, PE
Region Product Engineer for Boise Cascade Engineered Wood Products
Doug is a licensed Professional Engineer in fourteen states. He has been in the engineered wood products industry since 2005, working as a residential designer for a local lumber yard, commercial designer and estimator for a building products distributor, and now as a product engineer for a major EWP manufacturer. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Georgia.
